Popular Educational Bangladesh Tour: Five Nights Six Days Historical and Cultural Tour

Day 1: Our English Driver will pickup from the airport and will take you to the hotel. You will check-in to your hotel. If your flight arrives in the morning, we will offer you half day Dhaka tour. There are three plans- you can choose one out of three. One example is- visiting the old town, visiting some mosque, shopping or for girls going to parlor for facial or body message. Also, you will drive by the Parliament House, the President’s Palace and Secretariat buildings. After that you will be taken to your hotel. And if your flight arrives in the evening, our English speaking driver pickup from the airport and will take you to your hotel.

Day 2: At 08:00 a.m. our tour guide will pick you up from your Dhaka Hotel and will start the City Tour. Tour will begin with the visit of Baitul Mukarram Mosque, the national mosque of Bangladesh. This is the 10th largest mosque in the world. Then proceed for old town and will visit Nawab (King’s) Palace which is also known as Ahsan Manzil or Pink Palace. Ahsan Manzil is a popular tourist spot in Dhaka, it is situated on the bank of the river Buriganga. If time allows you can enjoy one hour ride in the Buriganga river( it is closed on Thursdays). After boat riding, you can enjoy one cup of tea in old town which is famous for food. Next destination will be will be Star mosque which is known as TARA Masjid in Bangladesh. This mosque is located in Armanitola area, Dhaka. The mosque has ornate designs and is decorated with motifs of blue stars. Along with this you will visit Armenian Church and it is also in Old dhaka, about 350m south of the Star Mosque. The church bears testimony to the existence of a significant Armenian community in the region in the 17th and 18th centuries. After visitng Armenian Church, we will take you to a local restaurant for lunch. Please have your lunch there. Then visit Lalbagh Fort. Lalbagh Fort (Fort Aurangabad) is an incomplete Mughal Palace fortress at Dhaka on the Buriganga River in the southwestern part of the old city of Dhaka (Lalbagh Fort closed on Sundays). Prince Muhammad Azam, son of Emperor Aurangzeb, began the construction while he was serving as the Viceroy of Bengal. Built in 17th Century dated 1678. Main attractions are – Tomb of Pari Bibi, Lalbagh mosque, Audience hall and Hammam Khana (bathing place) of Nawab Shaista Khan. Then enjoy Dhakeshwari Temple, Curzon Hall, Shahid Minar and National Parliament Building. By evening we will drop you at your Dhaka Hotel.

Day 3: As this is an educational tour, this day we offer some educational activities. After breakfast in Delhi hotel, you will check out. Early in the morning our guide will pick you up from your Dhaka hotel and will start towards Gazipur, Angel Association. International Angel Association was established in 1982 in Japan under the slogan “Love Over the World”. It is Voluntary Organization which serves humanity, peace, and friendship. Most of the members are women supporting to continue the activities of the organization. The fund for supporting the developing countries is collected by the charity activities such as charity bazaar, charity concert etc with the supporting hands of the volunteer members in Japan. Many Japanese tourists visit this organization. It is a huge organization and will give you unforgettable memories in Bangladesh. We will visit orphanage inside the association, agricultural tour and if time allows, we will visit one school. You will have lunch after visiting the Association and then you will move towards Sreemangal by AC car for Srimangal tour. We will reach Sreemangal late evening and check in hotel. You will have dinner and after Dinner back to hotel for overnight stay.

Day 4: After taking breakfast we move to Lawachara National Park and Khashia village for our first visit. After few hours we take our launch and forward to visit Madhabpur Lake. Madhabpur tea estate is another beautiful spot in Kamalganj. The estate offers great natural sceneries with all the tea plants standing in line on the hillocks. The presence of a lake in this tea estate makes the surrounding gorgeous. The lake is huge and it has small hills are on all the sides. The water here is awesomely cool and refreshing. Rare blue lotus and water lily mostly pink ones decorate the banks of the lake from time to time. These flowers add final touch of elegance to this lake’s charm. Then move to Baikka Beel Wetland. Baikka Beel Wetland is another bird sanctuary of this region. It is on the eastern part of the Hail haor. Hail haor is a large wetland encompassing about 100 hectares. It is about 20km from the Sreemangal town. Baikka Beel was declared to be a sanctuary for fishes in 2003. Baikka Beel wetland is located in an area of great natural beauty. The widespread empty wetland near it is simply amazing. The beautiful scenario stretching over miles creates an unbelievable feeling. You can see the blue horizon meeting the blue haor water here. This wetland is the living place of numerous birds and fishes. From the time you enter the haor area you will be engrossed by the sweet chirping of various birds. By evening you will back to Srimangal. After Dinner back to hotel for overnight stay.

Day 5: At 8.00 a.m. we will pick you up from your Dhaka Hotel and drive to Sonargaon. Sonargaon is a historic city in central Bangladesh. It corresponds to the Sonargaon Upazila of Narayanganj District in Dhaka Division. It is one of the old capitals of the historic region of Bengal and was an administrative center of eastern Bengal. It was also a river port. Its hinterland was the center of the muslin trade in Bengal, with a large population of weavers and artisans. 

At first, you will visit Banglar TajMahal is a scaled copy of the original Taj Mahal (a Mughal mausoleum located in Agra, India) located 16 kilometres (10 mi) east of the Bangladeshi capital, Dhaka in Sonargaon and then you will visit Rajmoni Pyramid in Sonargaon. It is mainly movie set but most of the tourist visits this place as it newly built. After visiting these places, you will move to the Folk Art Museum.

Sonargaon Folk Art and Craft Museum remains open from morning to afternoon (9 AM to 5 PM). Wednesday and the Thursday, this museum is closed for weekend. This is prosperous with several unique collection those you’ll never find at any other place. Some are lost from our country, and only those are remains. The main museum building is placed at the “Sardar Bari”. “Sardar Bari” was built by a Hindu Zamindar of Sonargaon in 1901. Alike the other Zamindar house of that period, this one also looks like Indian houses, but the shape of the house was looked like the European Palaces. The baroque decoration and the elaborated painting on the plaster of the building are really eye catching. The Folk Art and Craft Museum of Sonargaon was established by Bangladeshi painter Joynul Abedin on March 12, 1975. It’s a vast area, and will take you lots of time to round the area. You’ll find a art gallery of “Zainul Abedin” inside the museum area. There are two Exhibition Galleries inside the museum. Both of them consist of some status showing the local life of Bangladeshi people, for example farming, woman working etc. Also you’ll find the miniature version of the several boats from my country, which are now days vanished after competing with the mechanical vehicles.

After that we will take you to the local restaurant for lunch and later on we will go to Panam City (Panam Nagar) to see the beautifully decorated buildings constructed around the end of 18th century. It would be a very busy tour. We respect tourist timing. Please fix the time after discussing with tour guide and the driver and then enjoy the city with in your time frame. By evening we will drop you at your Dhaka Hotel.

Day 6: If your flight is in the evening, you can have some time to do your shopping. Dhaka is crowded; it takes time to go to the airport. Please have enough time to go to the airport. This is a free day. You can choose your own plan. You will drop you at the airport this day.
